So what have I been doing? Well, enjoying time to
My daughter also leaves today to Grandma's house in San Jose...all by herself!! She's 10 and I know it will be a safe journey, but I still worry and will try not to cry as I say goodbye at the airport. So while she is gone I will spend lots of quality time with my youngest and enjoy this last week:)
I had a request from a nice follower who asked if I would create some signs in my Tropical Theme for the Daily 5 and Cafe. Well that's right up my alley and I whipped these up. I think they are really cute and you can grab them in my TpT store.
I also put my daughters to work and had them help me paint some clothespins that needed a makeover for my new class theme.
Cute, but I hope I don't get cited for breaking any child labor laws;)
I leave you with one last thing that I have been thinking about all week. Over the last few weeks I have received some nice awards from great bloggers. I so appreciate all of them and I am honored everytime I receive one. It's so nice to know that others are reading my blog and they thought of ME :)
But I have to admit some of the requirements for the awards request that I do some things that I honestly don't have time to do.
If you started a blog and you are reading and commenting and creating products and getting ready for a new school year...You deserve an award...you are giving your time to better yourself, your readers and the students you teach!!
I would like everyone to take this award and post it proudly on their blog. It doesn't matter if you are a veteran or newbie...Take pride in the fact that you are spreading Aloha to others. No need to link back, thank anyone, or give it away to others. Mahalo for taking the time to read this little blog and all the others you regularly stalk. We are all amazing, and deserving of this award!!
Your posters are so bright and colourful! I linked up too!

DeleteLove it! Its my last week as well and I'm so busy that I can't keep up with awards, either. They are a lot of work and I have tons of stuff to get done. You have eased my mind...
ReplyDeleteIt's great that we have a few things in common! I'm originally from SF and live in the North Bay; I've taught second for most of my career; I'm fairly new to blogging; and I just joined TBTS. I hope we can connect and do something fun together soon! Also, I just got matched up with a blogger for a product review linky and she is moving to Hawaii this summer to teach second. I told her to contact you. Her blog is Teaching With Style. She's coming from Oregon - lucky girl!
Heather at TeachItToday!
Wow, that's awesome Heather! Yes, Nicole contacted me about her move, she will be in the islands in a few days I believe! I will look for you in TBTS:)
DeleteI love the daily 5 signs, need those. I guess I need to paint some clothespins while I am here too. Thanks for the inspiration

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your last week of vacation. It is amazing how quickly it passes. I go back in less than a month. Thank you for your cute Aloha award. Thank you for your post too. Being a new blogger and trying to keep up with all the blog award requirements is very time consuming. Your post made me breathe a sigh of relief!!
Happy Monday!
