So you all know Hawaii is back to school and it has a been a hot one this week. My kiddos and I were wiped out by the end of each day, from the heat!! I have to say though it's been lots of fun!
I have a the sweetest group of kids and we did lots of fun activities. I can't wait to share all of the fun, but I truly do need a nap and a cocktail, not sure which one first!!
This weekend I plan to finish my Back To School shopping. I have been contemplating a new printer, and the one that the school gave me has officially died. So I need to go out and find something that will last and not be too expensive on ink. If you love your printer and have had it awhile I would love to know what it is!!
I am also in desperate need of a pedicure. I meant to do it before school started and just never had the time. I usually kick off my shoes or wear slippers in class so my toes are always exposed!! Do you know how many times they were touched by little fingers this week while I was reading a story?? I just feel if they are going to touch them, then maybe they should be prettier, lol!
If you were back at school this week I hope it was a good one! If you are headed that way, enjoy your next few days!! Okay the couch is really calling my name:)
Corinna- so glad to know I am not the only one that has students all over her toes :)

So funny how they want to be close to you;)
DeleteI remember kids doing that when I taught primary - so glad they grow out of it by 4th grade!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I think by 4th grade they realize feet have been places;)
Deletemy kiddos do that too. If I'm wearing tights they are rubbing my legs as well.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the first week!

The Resourceful Apple
Oh, I'm sure they will be thrilled when I get them done:)
DeleteLOL! My kids love to "massage" my feet/toes, too! They never did that when I taught 3rd, only when I moved to 2nd! So funny. And makes me sleepy! My class this past year got into playing with my hair during read alouds. I finally had to stop it b/c they would all be fighting over who got to stand behind the rocking chair and "fix Mrs. Cockrell's hair!"

Teach On.
They are so cute at this age:)
DeleteHi Corinna, you may want to get a laser printer...it's lasts longer than the inkjet ones.
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie. Gonna do my research for the best one;)
DeleteLove that about making your toes pretty. It's so funny what kids notice! My niece whose 2 loves looking at my toes and the colors. I've had kids paint their toes to match mine. So cute! Congrats on surviving the first week! Hope you enjoyed a fruity beverage!
ReplyDeleteMs. Kerri and her Krazy Kindergarten

Thanks Susan I will se what I can find:)
DeleteI have so many toe touchers this year that I was glad I got a pedi before school started. Too funny! Don't get an hp if you want to save on ink.
ReplyDeleteHeather at TeachItToday!
I didn't know that HPs were bad on ink. Sheesh! That explains everything. I just thought all printers were like that. thanks for the heads-up!

No one seems to agree on printers, some people swear by HP and others hate them!! Amazon was no help at all either. I think I am just going for cheap:P
DeleteOooh, pedicure and fruit cocktail. That sounds like a plan!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing your first week in one piece :)

Mahalo Barbara, I did your celery experiment and plan to share later in the week:)
Deletecan't believe how early you go back! I mean, I thought we went back early...lol....our kids come on Wednesday - did you post pics of your room??? I'm so behind - hahah! I have no idea about ANYTHING...that's what I get for taking a few days to enjoy vacay - and then going STRAIGHT to work..haha!
ReplyDeleteThat is so nice you go back on Wednesday!! A full week to start out with is just too much in my opinion!! I know how you feel I have been a bad bloggy buddy this week!!
DeleteHey Corrina!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing the first week of school! I was thinking about you this week as we were heading back..wondering I wonder how her kids are and if she's had time to blog?! haha. I was completely exhausted this week! And yes, the heat has been killer..especially since we have morning and afternoon yard duty EVERY DAY for the first week at my school :(
I have an epson and really like it. It was about 30 bucks on sale at the beginning of last school year at best buy..the ink cartridges cost a little under $20 at wal mart. I like it bc I can easily make copies and scan things from home. Comes in handy!! Have a restful weekend, and a good second week with your kiddos!
Courtney
Recess duty everyday!! Aye, aye, aye! The teachers at my school would totally rebel and call the union on that one!! Sounds like you need that cocktail more than me, lol!! Hope next week is a bit easier for you:)
DeleteI love your comment on the pedicures! My kiddo's love to touch my toe nails during our carpet time! I always thought it was cute and a little odd. Glad to know I am not the only one it happens to! Haha!
