I also feel like I have forgotten how to write a blog post {insert sad face here}. Last year was such a fun year and I loved writing all about my classroom adventures. This year has been a more challenging year for me and I am working so hard to meet the needs of all my kids that blogging has taken a back seat.
But I am happy to join in with Kasey for her Five For Friday posts. I think I can come up with 5
pictures from the week.
We started off with writing some New Year's goals. I used the the 4 square graphic organizer to keep them on track.
Then I gave the students a simple template I found on TpT and had them create their own party hat.
We also started learning about States of Matter. I really like having all the information in their science notebooks. I plan on doing a post about them soon.
We also did these fun Pinterest inspired Winter pictures. Here is the original source. {Source}
I showed my students my pictures from my trip to Colorado and they were inspired to do their own chilly pictures.
They look really nice hung up in the classroom. Even though we don't have snow it does get a little chilly in January.
This weekend I am going to be working on my report cards and prepping for our Penguin week.
I hope everyone had a fantastic week back. Enjoy your weekend!
I'm with you! We started on Tuesday with kids too and the week seemed so long! Jealous of your weather--it has been cold here!

Hi Corinna,
ReplyDeleteEvery time I visit your blog and I see you say "Aloha", I just smile. I love Hawaii sooooooo much. (I got engaged there last July!) It must feel weird teaching about snow when it's so beautiful there.
I love how organized your properties of matter is! Thanks for sharing.
